2020 Litter of Puppies

KACIE AND COOPER WELCOMED THEIR FIRST LITTER TOGETHER 16.06.2020

We have named the puppies after our beloved home-town show,

Corner Gas :

BRENT, DAVIS, EMMA, FITZY, HANK, OSCAR, & WANDA

We hope you enjoy watching them grow as much as we did!

 

WEEK ONe

The puppies have spent as much as 23 hours a day sleeping so one might think that “there’s not a lot going on” but every time they wake up they have grown a little longer, weigh a little more, and can move a little faster. This week they doubled their birth weight , clearly hear their mother coming and have opened their eyes !

 

WEEK Two

The puppies might now be able to see “three days away” but they can see each other from a few inches. It’s been so exciting to watch them walk a few steps before they need to get their balance again. Grooming starts from birth as their mother cleans the puppies at every opportunity but we assist Kacie by trimming little nails to keep them from scratching her while they nurse.

WEEK THree

The puppies have learned to lap formula and water from their little bowls and have all gained nearly a pound. Its been an exciting week for them because they discovered the toy box ! A few of them are even rolling the balls around the nursery. They stay awake for about 15 minutes at a stretch before they tuck themselves back into bed.

 

WEEK four

Its been an exciting week as the puppies have started to meet their new families ! They have met some in person and yet others with the help of the IPAD. The puppies have mastered drinking from their bowls but seem to enjoy splashing in them more. They are weighing in at 3 to 4 pounds each and can leap and run in little spurts.

 

WEEK Five

WEEK seven
