They will ready to go home 28.04.2023

Victoria
(Adopted!)

Victoria is the puppy with the black/brown phantom colouring on her fleecy, curly coat. Her distinctive markings are not only striking but are a very rare occurrence originating from her poodle ancestry. These phantom markings can be seen over her eyes (creating an adorable eyebrow effect) on her chest in the shape of wings, on the length of her legs, and under her tail. Victoria has a gentle disposition and adores cuddles. She is intelligent, observant, and enjoys being a part of whatever we are doing in her nursery. She will be a great companion who will follow her person wherever they go. Victoria’ s beauty is hard to resist but her sweet disposition will be irresistible.

Charlotte
(Adopted)

Charlotte, the puppy with the very wavy, silky black coat is likely to be accented with silver as she matures, The poodle colour wheel refers to her coat as a ‘blue” which she has inherited from her father. Her coat will be very wavy to a light curl as she matures. Charlotte has consistently been our most refined build, and we expect her to favour her poodle heritage. Charlotte is a very intelligent, observant, playful, loving and engaging puppy. She makes great eye contact and will be not only be eager to please, but easy to train. She is the first one to engage in play with us as well as her litter mates. Charlotte will be only too happy to join in the fun with her new family.

Brooklyn

(Adopted)

Brooklyn is the gold puppy with a soft, wavy coat. She will have very wavy to light curl as she matures. She is a wonderful balance of the two breeds as she has a medium build and as you can see, those beautiful Poodle ears! Brooklyn is confident, playful, outgoing, and loves to cuddle. Brooklyn is a leader and she is always the first to accomplish the puppy milestones. She is extremely intelligent and keen to learn. The sky is the limit with it comes to her potential. She will readily adapt to new situations, and could quickly learn new skills. Her animated, happy nature is a joy to be around. Brooklyn will be the first in the car or on the boat, ready for her next adventure.

Savannah
(Adopted)

Savannah, the puppy with a fleecy, very wavy gold coat. This little sweetheart greatly resembles her poodle side from her soon-to-be curly coat, to her her full ears and large expressive eyes. She is a thoughtful, gentle puppy with a heart of gold. She will enjoy the challenge of learning new skills with a little encouragement from her loved ones. Savannah will be a constant loyal and loving companion, with a great sense of where she belongs.

Kimberly
(Adopted)

Kimberly, the puppy with the chocolate/apricot phantom markings and fleecy, wavy coat. Kimberly has an extremely rare colour that also has its origin in the poodle heritage. We were pleasantly surprised after nearly 20 years of raising Doodles, to have our very first chocolate - let alone a chocolate phantom! She has a very wavy coat with a light fleece (teddy bear like) quality. She will have a very wavy to curly coat as she matures. Kimberly has the build that most resembles her retriever heritage with the relaxed demeanour you would expect from a retriever. She has her splashy moments, but for the most part she is calm and cuddly. She also makes great eye contact and will be easy to train due to her happy nature and desire to please.

week SEVEN:

We are 7 weeks old!

week SIX:

We are 6 weeks old! We are growing so fast and learning new words like COME, SIT, and GOOD GIRL ! We are now weaned so we are eating softened kibble thee times a day and drinking water from our own bowls. Four of us have had visits from our new families. We have really liked meeting everyone and showing them how to play with our toys. We are so smart that we are now paper-trained but we hear that there is something called house-training and its outside !

week FIVE:

We are 5 weeks old! This is an exciting time for us. We have started to eat something wonderful ! Kibble ! The best part is that we are having it three times a day and still get to nurse when our Mom comes into our nursery to visit us. A new giant toy was unfolded into play area. The tunnel is fun to run around, through and over it. We’ve heard its called “junior agility” and if this is the beginning we can’t wait for the real thing.

week FOUR:

“Don’t hurry. Don’t worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way” -Walter Hagen

The girls are now four weeks old and excited to explore the world. They were such good puppies sitting for their photos even surrounded by flowers. They are not only playing with each other but with their balls, rope toys, and rattles. The new addition to their world is the little water bowls. So far, they are just drinking the water but it won’t be long before they are laying in it. Although, they are drinking water they are exclusively nursing from their mother. Each week we weigh, bathe and trim their nails in what we call, “ Spa Day”. Its a great preparing for future grooming because as doodles go out into the great big world they are bound to find adventures filled with opportunities requiring a bath.

We are seeing their personalities emerging. We can already tell that Brooklyn is bold and ready to explore, Savannah is content to find ways to entertain herself, Kimberly is relaxed and eager to engage in a new activity, Victoria is a gentle girl with a loving heart, and Charlotte is utterly charming with a steady gaze meaning she is ready to know what you are thinking.

week Three:

“The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step” - Lao Tzu

This week the puppies have gained the new skills of walking a few steps in a row before tipping over, sitting on their own, playing with each other and a few have found theirs voices. They seemed as surprised as we are when they little out a tiny little bark. The girls have started sleeping in 4 hour intervals and we have no doubt that Millie having such wonderful milk has everything to do with that.

week TWO:

In just a matter of a few days the puppies have gained more baby rolls , fluffier coats and stronger legs. The girls are able to stand on their legs for a few seconds while trying to be the first to reach their mom. We are eagerly awaiting the day when their eyes open !

Its day 12 and all of our eyes are open ! Brooklyn was was the first one to have her eyes open and she seemed surprised to realize that I was not a dog. The puppies eyes are open but their vision will take a little longer to give them a clear vision of their little world.

week one:

The first week is an exciting week full of firsts for the newborns. These little girls are learning to latch on, pull themselves up to nestle their mother and siblings, and that our scents means milk, care and attention. The puppies sleep in two our intervals and nurse for only about 15 minutes at time so there is not a lot of sleep around here. Millie is thrilled with her girls and is only willing to leave their side for a few minutes. The puppies have now doubled their birth weight .

the early days:

The puppies were born February 26th, 2023. There are 5 precious girls in this third litter for Millie and Cooper. The puppies are each distinctive from each other and range of wonderful rich colours ranging form a deep gold to rich black. To our surprise two of the girls are have phantom markings!

Their first week is spend nursing and sleeping in short intervals which means we are too. Millie adores her puppies and prefers to sleep next to them at every opportunity. Millie has lots of wonderful milk and her puppies are gaining a many grams each day. They will shortly double their birth weights which ranged from 325 grams to 418 grams.

The puppies have had their first brief Veterinary exam while they were having their dewclaws removed. We have found that this simple , quick procedure avoids possible injury later in life. The visit to the Veterinarian also gives us the opportunity to proudly show off the puppies.
